It's all in the title, since the 2017 version, when creating constraints Solidworks places the components in a smarter way (see view below).
However, I don't need to explain it at length but it causes me a lot of problems, do you know if it is possible to disable this new feature?

I'm not yet in 2017 but by digging around maybe be in the options otherwise you may have to get dressed up and understand the new way of working
No, no option but it seems to me that this new feature doesn't work if you select with the control key the 2 faces to constrain rather than opening the constraint tool... To be tested...
