On Solidworks 2018 how to share an assembly efficiently? (without EPDM)

Hello

I need to design a machine with a colleague in shared mode

We use collaborative mode

But this mode only forces the head assembly (already opened by the colleague) to read-only

It is, of course, possible to force each document into read-only mode one by one

How to force a complete assembly (including all parts) to read-only (in a single operation)

Philippe

Hello

I assume that the files are opened in light so apart from loading them in solved so that SW really takes control of them, I don't see.

Hello
The user who has write rights only needs to delete a subset and save the master assembly;
This frees up the assembly and the parts.
Once the second user has regained the rights, the first user can reload the subset. He will then have read-only rights. If his colleague modifies the subset and saves the changes, one can update the subset. It is even possible to see if any changes are available by right-clicking and "reloading"

Ok, with 2 users it should work        but it's not very flexible

Thank you for the answers
