Hello to the forum
On SOLIDWORKS Simulation I want to simulate the deformation of an Ø shaft under the loading of a force.
To add the force svt a vertical direction, I added a separation surface + oriented the force svt direction 2 (see image svte).

By cross-referencing with a form, the result is not correct (arrow x 2, as if I had 2 times my effort, once above the tree and the other below).
Another test, I carried out a small removal of material on the top of the shaft in order to deposit my effort, which is normal on the surface.

This time, the result is correct, but the technique used ................... :-(
2 questions:
- How do you go about depositing a vertical force on an Ø ?
- In the case of a torque (motor + resistant torques), how to do it?
Thank you all

Thank you GT22
That's what I did on my tree.
My tree and Ø, ......... That's the PB I have to put my vertical effort down.
In the forces dialog, I selected the options/vertical direction.............
This seems to double the radial force, one force above + one force below.

If I select the 1/2 surface (separation line generates 2 surface), it gives a correct result.
Gravity must be correctly directed.

To add torque between the ends, it is probably necessary to remove a small circular material in order to have a single surface.

I don't really understand the choice of the best answer
The answer is empty
so no answer
so it cannot be solved ;-(
??????????????????????????????????

Good evening
My apologies GT22 :-(
I replied too quickly to the site's reminder email.
I was referring to my last answer (effort on 1/2 surface).
I have not received any other satisfactory answers !!!
