hello you have to use a scan

Hello I would have seen more of a sheet metal realization with stamping and folding

Edit. Wouldn't it be damaged this part?

Same opinion as @SEPM.gerald by the solid sheet metal module + stamping for the shape.

I think the part is new but it's to reproduce it :-).

Hello

You have to go through the sheet metal module.

First do the middle part, then the folded edges, then the stamping.

Two example videos, the first for bending, the second for stamping.

I hope it will help.

Give me the ribs, and I'll send you this without any worries;)

Dimensions,  thickness, Tool you have in the workshop to bend.

I'm going to make you a little video, so you can understand better, and reproduce it later.

Is it a part that you have to reproduce because it was damaged?

I see a crease in the middle of the part  (through the stamping), is this normal?

If this bend has to be redone in the stamping, the sheet metal module will not be able to do so.

As I said@bart it seems weird to me this crease in the middle.

Well, it's more complicated than it sounds, but here's basically what it looks like.

I had to play a few tricks to force Sw to do what I wanted^^

And here is the piece

As I told you, I had to tinker a bit, because this kind of part is a bit limited to be made in sheet metal.

But logically, with the "unfold" I added, you can export in dxf and punch it to stamp it later.

That's it =)

@bart is it the fold that follows the curve that poses the problem?

Well, as I designed, nothing is a problem, except that Sw does as he pleases^^

The problem is the crease that I had circled in red, it crosses the part and crushes the stamping.

If that's really what you have to design, it's doable, but not in sheet metal.

For more complex unfolded, you have to use the "Logopress" software. It works with solidworks since it's the same manufacturer.
