SW 2014 Groove Chambling

Hello, seriously

I can't find a way to orient my chambering groove to rotate it 90°

What did I skip?

Your grooves are not part of the same sketch as the others?

apparently you want to move them with a function, you should rather move it to a sketch by creating a new one

@ nicolas no i have 2 different piercing function

@gt22, no it's for sketches not the chambering in the drilling function (new in 2014)

it still talks about the X Y position but where is that?

Hello

In fact, when you go to the "position" tab and place your groove, you can then constrain the axis to put it vertical!

And yes, SolidWorks is not going to do everything for you!

 there I think NO

To manually place a centering axis in a groove, select Groove Centering Axes under Manual Insert Options in the Centering Axis PropertyManager .

Grooves in drilling tables

You can include grooves in the drilling tables:

  • The location of the grooves is indicated in the columns POSITION X and POSITION Y.
  • The specific groove dimensions of the straight grooves are shown in the SIZE column .

I say IF

It's stupid as hell but in SW 2014 it's done like that too, and I can't say for 2013 because I didn't have the function in the piercing function
