I have a very annoying problem of nomenclature. Hoping to be clear:
- I have an assembly of parts, some of which have different configurations
- On these configurations, a code is associated.
- there can be several configurations with the same code (ERP transfer problem, we managed it like that).
Problem:
I make an assembly in which I put 3 times the same part (same PRT) but I change the configuration of a part. When creating the BOM in the plan, SW shows me 3 lines quantity 1, 2 of which have the same code.
Is it possible to merge the 2 items with the same code (which is a custom property), in order to get 2 lines, 1 line qty 1, a line qty 2?
More generally, can we merge lines of a BOM according to custom properties?
When inserting the BOM, in the table options, select the option "Display all configurations of the same part under a single item" in "Part configuration grouping"
oops me too... And if you click on your column or there are duplicates in the nomenclature and you sort .... Otherwise you will have to add the column with this property in the nomenclature and there I think it should work
Yes that's what seems the "best", or at least the only possibility. Do you know if you can configure a bill of materials with excel rules? (if, and, or...)
In this case, I can always configure the table to look for duplicates, and merge the relevant boxes. But it doesn't seem so simple to me because SW will certainly give different numbers to the parts (in which case the user will have to change the bubbles by hand...)
