SW18 Network Impossible Edit Materials

On SW18 network It is impossible for us to edit the materials 

I tried all the tips given on the net:

go to the registry, in the key HKEY_CURRENT_USER\software\SolidWorks\SolidWorks 20XX\general\Excel Edit Open and change the value to 0

But this key does not exist...; and this recipe dates from 2014...

I tried  to delete the SW rep in the registry as advised. To no effect.

I tried a lot of things. Replace the material files with those from my home that work, add another path pointing to a local directory, put me in admin, etc...

Note that you say network.

You have to look on this side and also: can you specify what is on the network and what is on the workstation.
For the BDR, I guess it's the one for the individual position.
