SW2012 - Screw to Slotted Hole Stress

Hello

I'm on SolidWorks 2012 (yes I know.... not very young...) and I made an assembly in which one part is attached to another using two screws, one of which is placed in an oblong hole. This allows me to adjust a few degrees.

My question is can I put a constraint that allows me to move the part in the allowed play of the oblong in my assembly.

According to the forum posts, a "Grooving constraint" option allows it but seems to be available from the 2014 version. Is this true? A workaround maybe?

Keep me informed

Joseph

Hello

If you have an axle that goes through the center of your screw, you can constrain it with the sketch of your oblong.

If I understand the question correctly, you would want a constraint that restricts the displacement to the limit of the possibilities of the oblong.
If there is anything, it is in the constraints put forward, but what is there in the 2012 version????

Otherwise, you can make 2 configs by putting coaxialities in the ends of the oblong, it will give you the extreme positions.

Hello

The screw constraint in an oblong hole has existed since the 2014 version if I'm not mistaken... Laughing out loud

Otherwise constrain with the central axis of the slotted hole and it works like this...

Hello under CATIA we don't have any constraints such as grooving, we simulate this by the layout.

EDIT:

the method works under SW.

Thank you for this avalanche back, its walking!

Thanks for everything
