I'm on SolidWorks 2012 (yes I know.... not very young...) and I made an assembly in which one part is attached to another using two screws, one of which is placed in an oblong hole. This allows me to adjust a few degrees.
My question is can I put a constraint that allows me to move the part in the allowed play of the oblong in my assembly.
According to the forum posts, a "Grooving constraint" option allows it but seems to be available from the 2014 version. Is this true? A workaround maybe?
If I understand the question correctly, you would want a constraint that restricts the displacement to the limit of the possibilities of the oblong. If there is anything, it is in the constraints put forward, but what is there in the 2012 version????
Otherwise, you can make 2 configs by putting coaxialities in the ends of the oblong, it will give you the extreme positions.
