Small problem in the drawings of assemblies or multi-body parts, when inserting a symbol for drilling on assembly machining ( material removal or simple drilling for example), if the function affects several parts or several bodies the depth returned is systematically "THROUGH EVERYTHING". Is there a way for SW to return in the annotation the actual depth of the machining performed?

Simply edit the function of the relevant holes and change the end condition to blind and the desired distance.
If you want to have a link between the drilling depth and the thickness for example, then use the equations.
Thank you, but my depths are well defined on one-eyed and the desired depth. The problem arises when the removal of material is done on several contiguous rooms.
As soon as the first one is traversed by the Solidworks function, it returns "THROUGH ALL" in the drawing annotation, regardless of the depth of the hole.
It goes without saying that in 3D the drilling is of the desired depth

Drilling functions are used in assemblies to represent the machining carried out after mechanical welding. They go through several rooms and if the end conditions are blind, the symbols appear correctly.
Sorry for not working with metal, but in the wood trades, we also assemble parts but we have trouble welding them. As a result, the machining is poorly rated
I don't see any difference, our methods are the same...

No 2017, but I've known this PB since 2008 so you see there's no urgency, but I'd like to know if others have been confronted with it and if there are solutions.

Hello, what if in the drawing you double-click on (through all) and you enter a dimension? What's going on??? I see neither the assembly nor the plan... version problem...

I had never noticed this problem, I never use the "Simple Drilling" function.
As visible in the attachment, if you use the "Drilling Assistance" function and then make a smooth hole using the type: "Drilling Size", it works.
