Hello, I am looking to inform about a Mep a surface made of glass.
By default in Solidworks, you can find the glass sheet hatching, but it doesn't correspond to what I expect.
Would someone tell me where to find this symbol, and how to add it to the existing list?
Thank you in advance.
Here is:

Does the associated ZIP file work with SW?

How do you add these hatchings?
In my opinion, you have to paste the file into the folder where the other hatching is located and they will then be available when selecting the type of hatching

Thank you all, but this only gives me a wood hatching file to replace with the old hatching file....
What I would like is the same principle for glass.
In my memories, glass is inquired by waves...

Hi, I found this topic on another fofo.
The subject has been solved, I guess the proposed technique works well!

Attached is a scan of my memo.
We can consider that you have 3 options.
Thermal insulation, optical parts, sintered glass. It all depends on the function of your glass.

Hello
For the optical lens I note in matter: Optical lens I=1.523 for my lenses.
After depending on the type of lens needed, the Index I varies, and an annotation and added for the focal lengths
After that, you have to know this:

SEPM what does it bring to inform the matter glass l etc...?
Hello
atention, not recommended by SW
I have the "glass sheet" hatching, the problem is that the hatching file is a system file: Sldwks.PTN
Located on Soliworks/lang/english
Open it with your notepad and tell us the version of the file you have
PS: you have the procedure to follow to create your own hatching in this file
*:501:Glass, Porcelain, Ceramic 45, 0,0, 0.25,0.25, 0.25,-0.25 45, 0.0884, 0,0.25,0.25, 0.125,-0.375
or make a copy and paste of the txt above and add it to the end of your file
if it doesn't work, delete what you just did and record
Kind regards
Nicholas
