Family table - locking

 Hello everyone.

I have a room with a family table. In this one, I have a column for a function where all the boxes are filled, but the 3D doesn't match what is described in those boxes. When I delete the column it always tells me that this field is locked by the part family. Impossible to configure this function except by completely removing the family table!

Hello

What version of Solidworks are you on and can you share your file for us to take a look at?

I can't communicate the files (confidential), but here are screenshots of the configuration tree, the family table and the build tree (in the selected configuration).

I'm on solidworks 2018 SP4

Try to see this macro that updates all the configurations to see if once the Excel shit is up to date the parts follow...

And if it doesn't work, you'll have to see to make a copy of the file and then delete the table;  then when I recreate it afterwards, it's sometimes just a bug...

No better, I tried the macro and already deleted/rebuilt the table without success

If you are under Solidworks maintenance; You should check with your dealer by forwarding the file to them. Because without a file it's still difficult to see where the problem can come from.

I contacted support, but the processing time is several days... Unfortunately I often get faster answers on the forum than through the support.

Thank you for your help!

First answer from the support, office home and small business would not be supported by solidworks (yet it is not mentioned anywhere on the official website).

They dig to find a solution.

Hello

For the answer " I contacted support, but the processing time is several days... Unfortunately I often get faster answers on the forum than through the support. ", maybe we should ask them for a small percentage of the price !! :)

For the answer " office home and small business would not be supported by solidworks ", it wouldn't surprise me more than that, Solidworks is made to be used in a professional environment, moreover it doesn't seem that it runs on Windows home...

Kind regards

I found this on another forum:

" If my memory serves me correctly, since 2007 VBA is no longer installed by default when you do a standard installation of Office. You have to go to "custom installation" and check VBA. "

Maybe it's worth checking !!

Kind regards

I'm surprised that Office SME is not supported: SW only needs Word and Excel which are the common base of all versions of Office.

For Windows, it is of course for W10 that you need the pro version (note 7 at the bottom of this page System requirements). To be precise, it doesn't mean that it won't work but SW doesn't guarantee it...
