Excel table in MEP SOLIDWORKS

Hello, I can't "cleanly" integrate excel tables into my solidworks drawing.

Either I do a simple copy/paste and the table is incomplete, then when I select the "handles" the excel boxes get bigger without "showing" more boxes.

Either I insert the document and it remains illegible when printed.

In theory, a simple copy and paste works well

Hello

You can try with Insert Object, then check "Create from File" and then go get the desired file.

Kind regards.

Hello gt22 but I've already tried the simple copy/paste (obviously)

Hello Centor,

yes it could, I just added how to make the cells appear not visible;)

In fact I prepared the document and by the time I posted you had answered faster than I had^-^

well it may be useful for someone else the pdf :D, so not lost ;D

on this good appetite:)

Hello Centor I followed the pdf doc and I can't "extend" the tebleau as in the explanation.

Which version of SolidWorks do you have? because I wanted to see on your drawing, to try to solve the problem, but I can't open it :x but I can send you an example and you can tell me if it works:)

hoping that you have at least the 2014 version :x...

Tell me again if its function because I used this document to make the little tutorial;)

If its not working can be a problem on the solidworks side or automatically

I tried your file and no worries it works as in your example, my version of excel is from 2010, and my Solidwoks version is 2015.

Otherwise I send you back your file or I tried to paste my excel document. (Still without success).

Thank you for your help in any case.

After several (many) trials, I found the solution to my problem.

The solution is to insert an object (create from a file), to check link.

The glue remains "clean" as well as legible when printed.

Be careful with the number of columns limited to 40! (I crashed solidworks several times)

Hello, this solution no longer works... Do you have a solution?

Hello

Have you tried stretching it from the editing window?

Normally it adds the rows and columns, but beyond a certain number things can get complicated.

Otherwise try to go by insert in the menu, and insert the table linked to the room, however you will have to check if it is up to date with the changes made.

Hello a.leblanc and thank you for the message, indeed I tried the first method described but it's an "important" table with more than 40 columns and more than 100 rows... And it has no connection with the play.

It's for commercial documentation.
