Hello
I am looking to make in Solidworks 2023 a tapping of American standard 3/4" - 20 UNEF, however I am not at all familiar with American standards and I do not find this standard in the drilling assistance. Do you have any ideas or data to share with me to carry out this threading manually?
Have a good day to you.
Hello; Here is a link to an analogous discussion for creating a standard in the Drilling Wizard.
Hello; There was a time long ago when I had created a new Custom Drilling Standard... Here is a little tutorial. (See attached file) Then, to have more direct access to these types of holes, just put the most recurring ones in favorites in the list of the drilling assistant.... All you have to do is be vigilant in case of Solidworks updates so that the new version of the Toolbox does not overwrite your changes. By the way, I strongly advise you not to...
and another to a similar request (if UNF and UNEF are indeed the same type of tapping... I haven't checked.)
Hello How to create a 1/4-28 UNF tap. I can't find it in the piercing wizard. Thank you
Kind regards.
RE-Hello;
I answer myself (for lack of interlocutors)...
UNC stands for "Unified National Coarse" → Not Normal American
UNF stands for "Unified National Fine" → Not American Fine
UNEF stands for "Unified National Extra Fine" → Not American Extra Fine
BSW = British standard WhitWorth. → Not Normal English
BSF = British standard Fine. → Not English
