Solidworks printing time

Hello, since I installed the last version of solidworks 2015 sp2 I have problems when I print, the loading time for an a0 file can take up to 10 minutes and if I save this MEP in pdf and print it, no problem, I have already contacted Axemble technical support who could not do anything for me.

Dear cartoonist friends, do you have a solution, Thank you in advance, cordially,

Hello

So as not to start from scratch.

What tests and manipulations have you tried with Axemble?

See you.

Hello

Is it the same when trying with another position?

You can try to reset the SolidWorks settings to zero, see my tutorial:

http://www.lynkoa.com/tutos/3d/reinitialiser-les-parametres-solidworks

If not, it may be due to the windows  KB3072630 update.

You have to check it from Windows Update (in the control panel) if it is installed.

  1. To open Windows Update, click the Start button .Image du bouton Démarrer In the search box, type Update, and then, in the list of results, click Windows Update.
  2. In the left pane, click View update history.

If so, you should uninstall it by following this tutorial:

http://www.mycadblog.fr/problemes-solidworks-rencontres-apres-la-mise-a-jour-de-microsoft/

Edit: a priori, you can just uninstall the KB from Windows Update, then repair the SolidWorks installation from the control panel > Programs, and it works.

Is it the same as the print preview? With another printer?

Is the printer's firmware up to date?

Have you tried to install the drivers locally? The latest version? An older version?

Sw 2015 SP2..... not a great version.

I advise you to switch to SP4.0 which is available under:

https://www.solidworks.com/sw/support/downloads.htm

It may not solve your problem but this version is more stable than your SP2.1 version

I'm surprised that the technical support couldn't help you.....

1st test to do:

  • Test the same drawing on another workstation
  • Test another A0
  • Test on another printer

Can SolidWorks  2014 SP4 open 2015 files?

If not, he can't go back!

No, I don't think SW2014 opens SW2015

No, impossible.

In fact, if it were, it would be the 2014 SP5.

But in any case, the file format has evolved in terms of compression and does not allow backwards compatibility between these two versions.

Oh sorry I had misread!

I thought @flegendre was proposing to go back to 2014, I hadn't seen that it wasn't in the last available SP!

I prefer and support this proposal to move to 2015 SP4 which fixes many bugs compared to previous versions!

That's the first thing to do!
