Hello everyone, I'm looking for a (good quality) textures of teardrop sheet metal

 

Anyone have that here?

 

I would like a texture that is "repeatable", i.e. where the edges cross well...

The texture that's in SolidWorks doesn't fit?

Otherwise there are plenty of sites with textures like for example http://cgtextures.com/ .

If you are on the 2013 version of SolidWorks an announcement in the news is the possibility to upload textures on a SolidWorks partner site, I think it's MODO to check!

You can also maybe create your own texture by taking an image and cropping it so that it is repeatable, then insert a SW decal and browse to the image file.

However, you must be logged in to the solidworks portal

I notice that this type of sheet metal has several names:

 

Tear Sheet

Checkered sheet metal

Ribbed Aluminum

you need to go to Luxology, but you also need a customer account on the solidworks website and you'll have all the texture you want
