Multi-body sheet metal

Hello

I have a sheet metal parts to make and I would like to know your easiest way to measure it in sheet metal on SW

I modeled the part and then emptied it to a thickness of 1.6mm. I would like to have 3 pieces of sheet metal: left side, right side and the outline (folded)

I tried to remove the folds on the corners to have corner to corner parts (to be welded) but SW tells me that the geometry is too complex???

thank you for your help

Hello

You should make 3 configurations of this part and then remove materials in each one of them to have your three parts and then convert the one with the folds into sheet metal. Now it should work.

Use the "convert to sheet metal" function and check the "keep body" option to be able to recover your 3 sheets

To separate the parts, I would take the top part as the front to make a sketch of a 1.61mm square to make a removal of material following a guide line (stopping the part).
