Sheet metal work and radius disappearance by adding material

Hey, guys.

The Solidworks Sheet Metal module is giving me a hard time today and I don't understand why.

I'm looking to make a fold with an angle on the dough that is taken into account in the folding radius.

So, I created my fold, then unfolded the piece, added material... And then, the drama, the representation of the ray disappears => impossible to fold the whole thing up.

The fold before unfolding:

When I unfold, the representation of the radius is still present:

I add material by " bossing/extruded base", and the drama appears!

Where it's frustrating is that in " material removal" mode, no worries.

I'm making a quick answer (I don't have access to Solidworks for the moment)...

As the material you add is both on a fold and on the fixed area, it is normal that Solidworks no longer takes into account the initial fold...
It is therefore necessary to make sure that you can extend the fold on this addition:

Either by recreating a new fold with a sketch
Either by creating the addition of material in two parts and then extending the fold.
or try to create the boss with the " lug " option of the sheet metal tool...

I'll tell you more as soon as I take control of my Solidworks...

For me, it is mandatory to go through a removal of material.
It is not possible to add material on 2 sides separated by a fold during the unfolded function, because the fold is automatically merged with the 2 sides.
Even with the " legs " option @Maclane , it doesn't work either.

Ben...
@sbadenis didn't give me time to do my tests...
But he is right.

The easiest (by far) way is to remove the material.

=> A new fold via a sketch is not easy... Solidworks no longer shows the location of the failed bend...
=> The Legs option... it doesn't work.
=> The two-part material addition option does not allow you to extend the fold.

Well, as proposed by @sbadenis, I ended up using material removal.

It's quite logical in itself if you design as you machine (which should be the case all the time) ... but which didn't suit me the most right away

Thank you all for the time spent
