Hello
I would like to transfer a license from one computer to another for maintenance on one of them (which will be called computer A later).
I deactivate the license on computer A and I turn off computer A. I turn on computer B but when I launch Solidworks and I want to activate the license it gives me the error message that you will find in the attachment.
Do you have any other solution than contacting the dealer?
Thank you in advance.

Hello
You need to know if you are on EPDM or not
If you are not on EPDM , here is the official version of how to do it.
Kind regards
PS: at the very beginning of the lockdown it seems to me that @Coralie had created a topic on the subject.

Your method is the right one.
Unless there is a stroke of luck (momentary overload of the Dassault server), I think you will be forced to contact support.
I had the problem at one time, my licenses hadn't moved a machine for a very long time and there were server modifications at Dassault that made it necessary for the support to intervene to unblock the system.

Hello
As a CAD admin in my company, I chose online license management as indicated by Zozo_mp. This allows the transfer of licenses (in case of employee departure), each designer can connect to any computer and import all his settings. It also allows you to know which designer changed the system settings to SolidWorks (which can create more crashes or conversely bring good ideas...) On top of that, you are not limited by the number of deactivation and activation of your license (there are a certain number per year I think).
Have a nice day
