Hello
I have 17 floating licenses via SolidNetWork on my workstation for the BE.
I have to change my PC soon and I would like to know how to manage the transfer of licenses to the new workstation?
Do you have a tutorial or an explanation?
Thank you in advance for your answers

Hello
If you are on a floating license, there is nothing to do!!
Unless you are using borrowing a license, and you are not connected to the network, licenses are available as soon as SolidWorks is closed.
You can check the number of licenses available with the "License Manager" tool:
http://goo.gl/AZ9gkh
Or since the 2014 version, "Show licenses" in the "Help" menu:
http://help.solidworks.com/2014/french/SolidWorks/sldworks/c_menu_bar.htm
Edit: and more information on borrowing a license:
http://help.solidworks.com/2013/french/SolidWorks/install_guide/c_borrowing_returning_snl_licenses.htm
All SolidWorks licenses must be released.
- TRANSFER OF LICENSE
From the license manager (on your computer, if I understood correctly):
- Server Administration Tab
- click on "Edit"
- Indicate the name of your server (or machine), as well as the port number: 25734
- Choose "automatically on the internet"
- Enter your email address
- Then "Next"
A message will inform you that the transfer is successful.
update the license manager (Even for SW 2014 you can set the SW2015 license manager)
- ACTIVATE LICENSE
From the newly installed license manager:
- Server Administration Tab
- click on "Edit"
- Choose "Enable/Reactivate"
- Indicate the name of your server (or machine), as well as the port number: 25734
- Choose "automatically on the internet"
- Enter your email address
- Then "Next"
A message will inform you that the transfer is successful.
