I am having a problem opening old solidworks files in pdm. I can't turn on the transparency of the components of the set when I edit a part.
In the properties I don't have access to the menu (see image)
anyone have an idea?
Have you upgraded your old parts?

I explore this hypothesis
Do you have a color dedicated to the assembly
It may be that your piece takes up the color of it
if you open your part alone (regardless of your assembly)
and that the definition of matter is not fixed on a color that you can change the color
or transparency

@gt22 we are in the context of old SW format parts which blocks the transparency option
