Working on a DWG file in Solidworks

Hello

Is it possible to work on a DWG file via solidworks without the file converting the data to SolidWorks entities?

The need comes from a project in the building where I was given DWG plans where I would like to be able to integrate turntables (in the form of blocks since in 2D). Of course I want to keep all the information (layer, blocks,...) of this file, which I can't do by importing DWG files into SW.

You can use Draftsight to make your DWG edits, it's a free software.
