Hello
My finned tube profiles don't want to open on SW: "future version"
Do you have a solution?
Yours sincerely
Tom
Hello, could you provide us with some additional information? Which SW versions?
Are your profiles shares or libfeatparts?

And where did you get them? In the library, via a supplier?
Do you have multiple versions of SW installed?

Hello.
I think the solution is written in the problem: "future version" means that they were made with a newer Solidworks than the one you are using.
If Solidworks knows how to open old versions, there is no compatibility with future versions (as for most software by the way: Excel, Word, Creo, Catia etc etc)
3 solutions are open to you:
- Let the designer send them to you in WWTP
- Upgrade your version of Solidworks
- If it was done with Solidworks 2024, there is obviously the possibility to save in previous version ... but I don't know what it's worth: Saving SOLIDWORKS Documents in Earlier Versions - 2024 - What's New in SOLIDWORKS

Having tested it, the previous version recording works well.

SW 2020 and libfeatpart file
And your file is from an earlier version? For example 2018?
