We have created different counters for different Smartproperties.xml
Is it reasonable to leave all the counters in the same SmartCounter.xml file, or is it better to create multiple SmartCounter files?

It is not possible to have several SmartCounter settings files, the database of the counters is attached to the same file.
However, you have the option to switch to SQL mode where it will create a SmartCounter database.
