Hello
I think that a good understanding of the CATIA options (accessible via Tool --> Options) is very important to allow an appropriate tuning with our use and to better predict how CATIA will react (I am thinking here for example of the hybrid/normal mode).
On the other hand, I'm often a little lost in all the proposed tabs.
Questions:
1) Already in terms of manipulation, I have a problem with manipulating the CATIA options window: half of the names are hidden and you can't enlarge the window. It still surprises me that in a software as powerful as CATIA, you can't resize the options window. Is it possible to display all the labels completely and enlarge this window?
2) Even if there are many options offered, for my part, I work almost all the time in the same workshops and I think that there should only be the following options that interest me:
- the 4 from General , namely Display/ Compatibility/ Settings and Measurements/ Peripherals and Virtual Reality
- 2 in Infracstructure Part , i.e. Product Structure/ Infracture Part
- 2 in Mechanical Design i.e . Assembly/ Sketcher
- 1 in Generative Shape Design
Would it be possible (why through this post) to list the options that are important to know and play an important role in assembly design?
I'm actually looking for:
1) to refine my knowledge of the important options that I need to know in the families of options that I have specified above.
2) to have a general view of these options so that I can direct myself to the right family of options when I encounter a problem.
Thank you in advance for your feedback.
P.S: FYI, in a future post, I'll send you the adjustment points (learned on the job) that I made in these options for assembly design.
