Using SWOOD CAM

Hello everyone,

I am looking for someone who uses SWOOD CAM and who could advise me on the use of origin positioning to code my NC program on a symmetrical stop.

I hope my question will be clear to a user, if not feel free to contact me.

Thanks in advance

Hello @treza88

There are very few, if any, people on this forum who use Swood and probably even less SwoodCam.
If you are under maintenance, you should turn to your seller.
Normally this kind of information is in the online help of the product 'the zero point is the ABC of CNC work.

There are some videos about TIOUBE https://www.google.com/search?client=firefox-b-d&ei=66AzYKuwCsGCav6kjogO&q=Swood+cam+help&oq=Swood+cam+help&gs_lcp=Cgdnd3Mtd2l6EAMyBQgAEM0COgcIABBHELADUOaTDVjmkw1gs50NaAFwAXgAgAFniAGoAZIBAzEuMZgBAKABAaoBB2d3cy13aXrIAQjAAQE&sclient=gws-wiz&ved=0ahUKEwjr0bHRvP3uAhVBgRoKHX6SA-EQ4dUDCAw&uact=5

Good luck!

Kind regards

Thank you Zozo_mp for your answer,

I watched the videos but nothing corresponds to my search, these videos only deal with a standard original positioning, but nothing about a mirrored positioning.

On the other hand, is it possible quickly by opening a part of an assembly to make it symmetrical, without it changing it in the assembly?

It is very simple to create the symmetrical version of a part:
- open the room;
- in this room, select the plane that will be used for symmetry (this can be a face of the room, you can create one);
- Insert/Symmetrical Part: this creates a new part file that you can name whatever you want.
