Hello
Almost new to solidworks, I want to use a drawing (foralt jpeg or PNG) so a 2D shape and make it a 3D object.
I consulted several tutorials, I don't have the autotrace function which seems to be one of the solutions, I vectorized via inkscape
Thank you for giving me a helping hand because I'm skating badly. Software to download, solidworks tip.....
Thanks in advance

Hello
You vectorized in Inkscape and then saved in DXF.
Then we open the DXF and then we select the path and paste it into a sketch. Ctrl+c / Ctrl+v.
It should be the same in Solidworks as it is in CATIA.

Hello
Inskape works well but there is also another method directly with Solidworks.
See tutorials

Autotrace must be enabled in the add-ins before importing the image

Yes, but I believe that Autotrace works with a premium license, not with a standard license.
Kind regards
