Sketch Image Vectorization

Hello

I have a jpeg image of a logo that I would have liked to convert into a sketch.

I inserted the image into my sketch and according to the Solidworks help in the Sketch Image PropertyManager I am supposed to have a second page to convert the image into vector data... Only I don't have this page, no arrows at the top right.

I'm on Solidorks 2014, does vectorization no longer exist? Has it been moved to this version? I seem to remember that in 2012 the second menu still existed.

Thank you in advance.

It is necessary to check in the add-in tool that Autotrace is enabled

See this tutorial among others

http://www.lynkoa.com/tutos/3d/tuto-creation-d-un-model-l-aide-d-une-image

you zoom in on your pixelation and draw straight lines to the axis of it

and you'll end up with a picture sketch + that is correct

@+ ;-))

+1 DAVID, iNKSCAPE!!

Thank you for all these answers,

I did a quick search on autotrace, it seems to be a module for Solidworks, the IT department at work may not like it if I tinker with Solidworks but I will test at home, the same for the youtube tutorial access is blocked so I will watch it tonight, thanks to both of you in any case.

I'm testing INKSCAPE so (handy portable version, no traces on the work pc), it looks rather complete as a tool but due to lack of time could you explain to me what procedure to follow to vectorize an image please?

Hello There's a tutorial for Inkscape here: http://openclassrooms.com/courses/la-vectorisation-avec-inkscape Otherwise, there are websites that do this in two clicks, I've already tested this one which works not too badly: http://www.autotracer.org/ And this one looks pretty good: http://vectormagic.com/home

By the way, I kept looking a little afterwards and I came across a rather interesting tutorial, if anyone ever has the same problem as me in the future. Thanks to the author!
