Version of the software used?

Following a lot of questions asked about the logs and the non-compatibility and backward compatibility of them

I think it would be interesting

To know, among other things, which log uses the questionnaire and which version

This info could be found either with the avatar or at the bottom of the question/answer page

Of + is, I think the screenshot accompanying the question

is likely to be answered + important via the community

who she uses or has used multiple logs

In + if the mods could, among other things, make sure to have live the image or video accompanying  the question and not the link, it would be good + speaking when reading this question

PS:  When you ask a question I think that because of this fact you should be obligated to subscribe to this question

Hello

You mean you want the video or image to be "drowned" in the answer without having to open anything? Good idea I think, it's more telling.

On the other hand, the first parity not all captured, sorry  ^^'

Hello @ All;

Yes, it is certain that having all the information live in an answer to a question asked would be faster and simpler because it would be directly accessible.

Now, I think that it can very quickly become "heavy" in terms of management (not in the boring sense, let's be clear) given the number of answers that some questions elicit.

Then, having hypertext links in addition to certain answers (or parts of answers) is easy to manage, fast and allows you to come across new interesting sites from time to time as well.

Two ways of looking at things...

Cédric.

The questions asked by the questionnaire are asked for the log that it uses normal

who has his version

as the versions are not compatible or backwards compatible (e.g. SW2013-SW2011)

any questions asked with an SW2013 file link can only be opened on SW 2013 or later

But not earlier (e.g. SW 2011) or other software

so the screenshot and the live video

can allow everyone to answer this question

Is C+ clear?

@gt22:

Yes, it is very clear and indeed we agree. But I also bounce back on this subject because it is also up to the 'questioner' to be the most precise and clear in the writing of this question.

If the latter specifies at the outset:

- its software

- its release

- its operating system

- its level

- .....

This would allow communities wishing to contribute and try to provide an answer to immediately target the elements of their responses.

I had already raised the fact that some of the questions, in their titles, were not detailed or precise enough.

Cédric.

Oops: 'from his question';)

Hello

Precisely, this is a debate that we have at Lynkoa (the fact of being able to embed videos for example)...

I will follow this thread with interest to get the opinions of as many people as possible.

Hello @ all,

Very good idea  GT22

- it is true that the version of the software  / OS / Release / as well as the level would be very interesting to target the answer

- Video would be very useful too (it's very visual)

For the level in a given software (SW; Catia; ....)

-you would have to do a quick test that would define the level

Hello

I will also try to give my opinion.

For the software version, although it only concerns SW, I think it doesn't eat bread. Let's see if it doesn't become too much of a hassle for the other software.

For the live image display, great idea. It's true that having to click on an external link is not great...

The fact that you subscribe to your own question is self-evident, it should indeed be automatic.... -_-

On the other hand, for the video, ok in principle but not for an automatic opening. Clearly, I have a foam connection at work and if my page has to take 2 days to display, it bothers me a little.

Then I may be alone.

Good initiative in any case:)

Look at this link as it is simple and elementary

@gt22 Yes, yes, it's a Youtube integration but as I say, the fact that you have to pick up information from other sites slows down the loading.

After all, it's not the end of the world and it can make it easier to solve questions, no worries about that.

:)

Hello

++ for the integration of images without external links,

And why not put next to the "questioner's" no the version of the software he uses (it requires to complete his profile correctly).

I don't have too many problems when I consult on the mac, but with iExplorer on Win 7 I always have problems when it comes to repatriating a solidworks file. The image c is good and the zip.
