Hello

I take the liberty of reviving the subject of the STEP / CAD Viewer

Before, I installed DELCAM Exchange for my users

Positive point: 

- 200 MB (not too hungry for disk space)
- supports a lot of file formats (SolidWorks, Catia V5,  STEP, autocad DXF DWG ...)

Negative
- Limited features
- since the takeover by Autodesk, no more updates :-(
- with the latest version of Windows 10, no longer works!!

=> in my letter to Santa Claus, I look for

- a free viewer

- that does not require the creation of accounts on the internet

- Which is not in the cloud (privacy PBM)

- which supports different formats  (SolidWorks, Catia V5,  STEP, autocad DXF DWG   ...   )

- which is not too large to install   (2 GB for Autodesk DWG TrueView, it's huge!! )

- that works with Windows 7 / Windows 10

- I'm not too careful about the features, the performance  (if file Open works it's already good)

......    I know that I ask a lot

What does it edrawing version read the Catia? The 2018?

For Catia, I don't know. You can take a look here:http://www.edrawingsviewer.com/ed/faq.htm

On the other hand, you must have at least the same version as the SW files you want to open.

Secondly, eDrawing Viewer is free but it requires the user to register.

Since 2017 it seems to me (not in 2016) I'm in the same case as @ Xavv Recently switched to W10 and Catia R27  PS Exchange KO.

Edrawing OK except to measure with the free version.

We still display the PMIs.
