Solidworks Viewer / SLD File Playback

Hello

I take the liberty of asking for your help because I am currently working on SOLIDWORKS and I would like to share my progress with my colleagues who do not have SOLIDWORKS installed.

To do this, I was thinking of making a backup of my assembly in E-Drawing format and telling them to download the software on PC (or free application for mobile and tablet for people on site) so that they could consult the 3D digital model.

Except that I try to anticipate the long term and the more my assembly grows and becomes complex, the longer it will take to save and I may have to do this several times a day.

The idea would be to find a quick solution so that they can consult an SLDASM via Chrome or other by themselves (access to the folder where my file is stored); or develop a maccro that would open an SLDASM, save it in a Drive (other) in E-Drawing (overwrite the previous version or increment with the date and time of the day in the filename) and then close the SLDASM. All this in a few clicks and running in the background allowing me to continue working without blocking the software. (otherwise we end up with the same problem of wasting time).

Or  is it possible to work on a dedicated server and by generating a web link, it would allow my colleagues to read via chrome or other by clicking on the link.

I am interested in your feedback.

Thank you in advance.

Nicholas

Edrawing opens solidworks files natively (MEp part assembly), no need to go through the Edrawing format.

On the other hand, in Edrawing option, you have to check read only and imperatively open the files from edrawing (not via the windows explorer) otherwise the 1st person who opens even with Edrawing, blocks you from writing access to SW.
