Hello

I'm looking for a viewer for a STEP file. Is there a free one that allows me to view STEP files without going through SW?

Hello, FreeCAD is a free CAD software that can open STEP files but also many others. www.freecadweb.org

Just a viewer on Windows http://www.3d-viewers.com/step-viewer.html

otherwise on Mac there is a free inventor  on appstore!! and it is not on the Autodesk site ... Strange

The new STEP AP242 standard is now emerging in many fields such as aeronautics. 

The viewer 3D_Analyzer is one of the few viewer software that perfectly supports these 3D file formats.

Of course, this visualizer is not free but it is very efficient and it is used by many manufacturers
