Visualization of the sketch in multibody construction

Hello

In a multibody construction, it is no longer possible for me to modify a sketch without seeing all the other bodies at the same time.

This makes the reference projection very difficult.

I have to work in wireframe but the number of bodysuits changes quickly it becomes a real game of mikado ¦-)

Thank you for your help.

Hello

Under CATIA V5

You'll find the hidden icon under the toolbar

You have to disable AV to enter the Sketcher mode.

A tip to understand how it works:

- Exit the toolbar in the graphics window.

-enable only one option at a time (PartDesign environment)

-Go into sketch mode (there is the same command (3 rectangles) play with.

After testing all the combinations, it should be better to work in multi body mode.

Ah! sorry but the question concerns Inventor.

I had selected the type of CAD????

but I admit that after 15 years of CATIA (V4, V5) the transition to inventor is not joy every day.

thank you again

Hello

I don't know if it helps, but here's a tutorial:

On figure 13, there is a symbol "glasses", does it match?

Otherwise the second part of the tutorial:

And a video on multibody:

Hi .PL,

Thank you for your answer unfortunately the glasses are only a mode of visualization during an extrusion.

on the other hand, I see on multibody's videos that the sketch can be viewed without the 3D.

I have to look in that direction.

Thank you

The solition is in the display mode.

you can work in your sketch by seeing only the active body if you are in Master view.

not obvious! You just have to know it.

Then there is the mode of viewing the sketches, active or not.

We can quickly lose these little ones.

Advice:

  1. Defining 3D views at the same time as you build, makes it easier to view the model after a few hours of construction.
  2. don't hesitate to switch to IAM when the multibody becomes too complex (unstable when modified)
  3. multiply simple sketches and make them dependent on fx.

That's it for my little experience on this point.
