I would like to have your feedback on license management in your company. Until now we managed them all online and it was very perfect (very simple for staff changes + follow-up of parameter changes all that and that...) But it seems that by February 2022 I will be forced to change the way I manage...

We are currently also using the 'Online' version for our 'Dassault' license sets, for the same reasons as you seem... however, I am not aware of this deadline (February 2022). Could you cite your sources?

This is an email I received from Solidworks (solidworks@community.3ds.com) see attached. FYI I'm in Canada, so I don't know if it would concern the whole platform or just here, or if it's a fake. I am still conducting my investigation.
I didn't even know that system existed. But it's quite possible that Solidworks would abandon it if too few people used it. Too bad because it looked pretty good for those who juggle with a license number and several PCs (see https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VsYwis2kTHg)
@froussel This is one of the advantages among others... It also allows you to know if some machines are crashing more than others, if users are changing Solidworks settings, to store your user preferences (icons, shortcuts, etc.) and to synchronize them on any machine (including when traveling to a customer)

pfff..... Solidworks all spit out.
- finally a relevant improvement, and not so buggy, compared to a large customer request. Except that, as usual, Solidworks once again forgot to communicate correctly and simply on it.
Then they are surprised that few customers use this function and, instead of communicating about it, they delete it, in defiance of those, like me, who use it and found it more than considerable interest. ( The license manager, the PC status controller combined with the ability to synchronize or export its settings .... I liked it quite a bit.)
Too bad... Let's go back to 2018 with our "multiple activations" and "Damn, I forgot to release/issue my license on the other PC."
