PDM Workgroup: Transitions a Committed Part to Prototype

Hello

I have a question about the PDM Workgroup vault.

I have a part that I need to modify (upgrade), but the problem is that I don't want to change its revision because the modification is pending validation (I want the part to undergo conclusive tests before increasing it to revision, otherwise someone who is not aware of my part modification is likely to release them to production for another project, thinking it is good).

Basically, I'm going to make my modification which will send my part to the prototype state, while keeping the same part codification.

(I know that ePDM is capable of it I think: the part goes through several states: 1,2,3,4... before taking a revision)

Is Workgroup PDM able to handle this kind of thing? If so, how?

Hi Simon,

In that case, why not use the working copies.

In the Revision tab of the vaultadmin, you add a sign for working copies ("+" for example)

This way, your revision can go from B to B+ for example, B will always be available.
