Is there compatibility between SW 2005 SP3-1 EDUCATION and WD 10?

Hi all

I am a technology teacher in a college and I have just installed SW EDUCATION 2005 SP3.1 on my laptop.

This old version is the only one that my college has and I would still like to use the software to develop workshops for students.

My laptop works with WD10. Is there an incompatibility or can we force compatibility in WD10?

My problem is that the field reserved for the different views is grayed out and that I can only see the different views for a very short time when I hover the cursor over this area.

In fact my problem is a display problem within SW.

Thank you for your help.

Hello

You should already see if your graphics card is compatible with Solidworks.

You can check here: http://www.solidworks.fr/sw/support/SystemRequirements.html

By logging in to your portal.

But in any case, I don't think the 2005 version works under W10.

I think I think at least Sw 2014

To be confirmed with my friends^^.

Hello

I think you can contact a SW dealer. SW licenses are easily accessible I think.

Windows 10 Only from SW2015 SP5 (before, risk of bugs)

See the article:

Even Windows 8 and 8.1 won't go with SW2005.

From Windows 7 it's ok, SW2005 should work

Hello

I am confident, WD10 compatible with SolidWorks 2015 SP5.0 and newer

I learned it the hard way!

Good evening everyone and thank you,

Indeed (alain. ERP) since the transition to Windows 8.x and 10,  SW is compatible in its 2013, 2014 and 2015 versions (SW sources).

All previous versions that ran on Windows XP, 2000, and 7 are hasbeen.

I'm going to fall back on Google Sketchup right now to generate the right files (.extension) to work with a Witbox 3D printer.

I'll dig into the site if the approach with GS is addressed.
