Costing Activation on Solidworks 2025 Professional SP5

Hello,

We are currently using the SolidWorks 2025 Professional SP5 release and are attempting to enable Costing. I positioned the button in the interface, but a simple click doesn't trigger any action (the menu doesn't open and nothing happens).

Do you have an idea of the procedure to follow or a specific setting to check to activate this module?

Thank you in advance for your help.

Steve

Hello;

I had this type of problem with Costing (under Solidworks Premium 2022).
A repair of the Solidworks installation solved this small inconvenience.

Well at the time I was on indows10 and it would only surprise me half if I had to unlock a file or two during the installation...

Hello,

Not the problem on my side, do you point well in the Costing folders at the file locations?
After otherwise yes installation problem.

@Cyril_f

It's actually the boss of the company who asked me to find the module (Currently in internship), and when I tested impossible to launch it, they have the professional version.

I checked this part before the post, I couldn't find any costing file on their PC. Even the publisher that should exist I haven't found it

It may not have been installed. If the installation was done by administrative image, the option may have been forgotten.

Thank you for your answers, I sent them the information, as I am not the one who takes care of their computer system I will wait and come back afterwards :slight_smile:

Their computer scientists reinstalled the solidworks on the 2 workstations, on the 1st workstation the costing function module, but on the 2nd sa still doesn't work.
But there seems to be something I don't understand

Below solidworks it's noted

And in my products by going to the top on solidworks I have it:

Hello,

Probably a problem on the license side.

This is a " Solidworks Standard " installation:

So no costing for this position.

Re Hello,

I'd like to put 2 best answers :confused: because you gave me the 2 information, except that they reinstalled solidworks because he had actually forgotten to check the box for the costing module
