Administrator

Hello everyone and @ All

I would like to save a basemap and SW doesn't want to because I'm not in admin.

Is it possible to go to admin without leaving SW and then re-enter admin status.

I made a lot of changes in the basemap and if I leave the assignment without saving the basemap I will lose the changes normally.

Thank you for your advice and opinions!

Kind regards

In general, the administration rights apply more depending on the path where you want to save (try on a usb key or on your desktop)

Then in admin you can move or overwrite your file.

Message lost   Grrrrr! when sending! Lynkoa bug! I'm doing it again!

1°) I saved the background map on the desktop and then put it with the WIndows file manager in the template directory.

2°) while I'm in admin mode I reopen the MEP drawing ==> I open the basemap ==> I slightly modify the basemap and save it. This time SW doesn't complain.

3°) I'm trying to create a new MEP with a different part and now I don't have any information in the templates while the info is present according to Windows

BRIEF! I'm lost in apples.

You have 2 types of files, drwdot (drawing template) and slddrt (background)

The location where you save your slddrt is a location for template files so you're not saving in the right format

You open SW, then your sldprt file, you save as and you choose document template (*.drwdot) you save it in the same place and you should have it in the tab.

The sldprt is when you right-click property on a sheet or when you add one:

Good evening @sbadenis

Thank you for your patience.

I did what you said but I'm not sure I understood.

I managed to modify the basemap, to save it in Admin mode. Now it automatically gives me the 3 views and in addition the iso view. He took into account the changes and that's what counts

I'm going to leave it like this so it allows me to do my MEP.

I'm in V 2019 To put everything back in perfect I will have to switch to V 2O21 with maintenance (and there it stings).

THANK YOU again!  ;-)   ;-) ;-)

Kind regards

I come back to the subject

This story of the link between the DRWDOT and the slddrt is not crazy.

Good! With a handful of hair missing and your help I think I finally managed to do what I had to do.

Kind regards

A BIG THANK YOU Sébastien
