Display of Ø dimension on the axis

Hello

I would like to be able to display my diameter dimension with the line of attachment to the axis of revolution, as on the attached image (made on topsolid) is it possible on SW without going through a manual value of the dimension (until now I am chewing by dimensioning as a radius and multiplying by 2 the value, and adding the sign Ø)

Thank you

Hello

You can hide the callout line and dimension line via a right-click.

You will get the result in PC

Here are the menus that appear when right-clicking on Witness Line and Dimension Line.

Thanks for this tip.

The only case where it doesn't work is when I can't have my two references to create my diameter dimension (on a non-symmetrical cross-sectional view for example) and I would need to refer directly to the axis of revolution by forcing it to dimension in diameter and not in radius. Is that possible?

Thank you

Via a dimension imported from the 3D it should work normally.

The sketch will have to be in the plane of the section.

If you make a view large enough to see the full diameter and reduce the view later, it works. We use this trick mainly on detail views or we just need to modify the sketch of this detail view.

Hello

Inspired by my tutorial it's doable.
