Hello
In the model tree of an assembly, is there a way to display (color, bold,...), all parts in " read-only "?
No, it is not possible.
The only way would be to use a macro to get a list out for example, but no way specific to SW.
Hello
Out of curiosity, what is the purpose behind this question?
@coin37coin , I imagine it's to easily and quickly recognize the parts that are blocked in writing.
Otherwise, you can open them, modify them and not notice that it was read-only before saving or Sw tells you that the file is read-only. (And it's quite annoying indeed)
No possibility to change the appearance of a line in the tree of an assembly (bold, color...)
Hello @Pascal_BOIS
There may be a track with the advanced selection tool.
I believe that with SW2024 there is more option
such as " select everything that is excluded from the nomenclature "
All you have to do is hope that a filter corresponds to your needs.
Indeed, @twathle it's possible since the sw2023 version via the advanced selection.
And it is possible to save it as a favorite at the top right for quick access afterwards.
The SW page dedicated to this selection:
https://help.solidworks.com/2023/french/SolidWorks/sldworks/t_defining_search_criteria_advanced.htm
sorry @sbadenis but this also exists for Solidworks 2022 (and probably before too) ... Decidedly, the 2023 version doesn't bring much.
However, this process only allows the selection of components whose files are read-only, it does not allow you to permanently modify the display of the design tree (TreeManager).
@Désolé @Maclane I'm late, I switched from 2020 to 2023 (about 1 year ago) and in 2020 it didn't exist.
And yes indeed it is a selection, because changing the display in the design tree as explained above is not possible.
Indeed, but it's enough to color and have a quick view in the graphic space
