Show assembly components only (not all open files) VBA

Hello everyone,

Let me explain my approach, I have to make a macro that displays (in the debug.print) all the parts and assemblies of an open Solidworks file and not scan all the open files

And I'd like to know if it's possible to use the swmodel.getpathname (just the name of the file) and use it to display only what goes with this file

Thank you for your help

To do this, you have to go through your assembly.

SW example:

http://help.solidworks.com/2015/English/api/sldworksapi/Traverse_Assembly_at_Component_Level_Example_VB.htm

And an example of my own macro  library (launch the main from the open assembly) depending on the depth you want you can remove or not some line in comment (to deepen)

 '--------------------------------------------------------------------------
' Preconditions:
' 1. Open an assembly document containing nested subassemblies.
' 2. Open the Immediate window.
'
' Postconditions:
' 1. Traverses the assembly.
' 2. Examine the Immediate window.

Thank you

I was inspired by what you did, and with a lot of research, I managed to get what I wanted, I'm going to close the request.

Thanks again
