I would like to ask you for a strategy to make a head with Solidworks 2013. Here is the drawing to make:
So, to make the sphere there is no problem, it's for later...
The strategies I was able to try were mainly with the extruction or the cut. For the eyes I more or less succeeded by making a surface around the sher, a circle with a split line on the sher, then a thicken and then subtracting the two. The problem is that my half shere becomes a sphere. (I wanted to use symmetry after) If you have a better solution I'm all for it.
On the other hand, for the spikes on the top of the head I have no idea how to do it. I tried with a boundary boss, but without success.
From there, once you create your plans, you have the possibility to work with all the basic tools of Solidworks
extrusions, material removal, revolution, sweeping, smoothing, etc.....
So for your spikes above your head once you create your plan via the help of the tutorial here
You can shift the planes, make perpendicular planes and via the smoothing tool, make your peaks
For your mouth ditto once you create your plane on your face you can offset it and create your sketch on this plane offset and project it on the right side either in extrusion or removal of material
you also have the possibility to put your sketch on the desired side and convert it into a 3D sketch which will allow you to do a sweep or smoothing
you will have all the possibilities you want
You have to play if you have other problems don't hesitate to ask
@.PL very good idea the revelations I hadn't thought about it at all
@gt22 thank you for the tutorials, I had indeed tried with sketches projected on the pla, but it didn't give me anything good... So I'm going to try again with the tutorial you gave me
