Following the change of version made by the hot line to the 2022, I have this curious thing.
How do I remove " mod-diam " because even if I try to remove it in the quote text, it remains stuck in the sketch like Captain Hadhock's band-aid - A thousand ports!
Also I don't see the trihedron normally present in a corner of the screen anymore.
Wouldn't you have an error message when launching SW that says the file xxxxxx "C:\ProgramData\SolidWorks... is missing? Because your problem makes me think of a lack of symbol library, and probably of a lost path when switching from one version to another with a possible parameter import from the old version. Check that you have access to the other symbols
For the trihedron: option->display->check "Show reference trihedron".
For the text, I think SW can't find the symbols anymore. See option->Symbol library file->file location if the folder is present and if so, if the symbol file is also present... Normally the folder is: c:\ProgramData\SplidWorks\SolidWorks 2022\lang\english
@Cyril.f unfortunately I no longer have access to the hotline since December 31st (at worst I would invoke the after-sales service especially since I paid independently of the maintenance for this action.)
@Pierre_S no error message, everything goes well except that it puts
Hello; @Zozo_mp : Well, your band-aid is tenacious!
It is possible to make a small assessment of the file locations here:
… (Warning: the location indicated on the screenshot is a personal location...)
Wouldn't the easiest thing be to remount a backup of the *.sldreg file? Or we can provide you with a copy of the GTOL file. SYM (2022 version) if needed.
→ see if you don't have a directory "C:\ProgramData\SOLIDWORKS**(2)**.... This happens in case of a " bad " uninstallation of the previous version (more and more common)
gtol.zip (15.2 KB) (In zip format: it is only 167KB but the server does not recognize this format) Note: this is the French version: To be stored in " C:\ProgramData\SOLIDWORKS\SOLIDWORKS 2022\lang\english "
note: before this manipulation, try to force Solidworks' hand by deleting the location of the symbol file from the Solidworks options, the latter will ask if you want to use the " default " location.
The new gtol file didn't change anything and for good reason! It was the path that was not good, it pointed to 2021 which did not have the gtol file However, I was convinced that I had changed it following your advice.
A moment of bewilderment! Gloupss
Obviously, as @Lynkoa15 points out, SW also had to be restarted
There are other things that are not in the right places but as long as it works! I'll review these "system" options if something doesn't go well.
In any case, thank you to the forum for helping me and to all those who contributed to solving the PB.
Obviously you can only choose one correct answer, so sorry for those who were not chosen
@Zozo_mp , it's (finally) good news, no more plaster then? => Remember to make a backup copy of all the Solidworks parameters each time you make an (efficient) change to an option...
Callback (if necessary :d Solidworks:)
This will prevent you from finding yourself: "Gros-Jean as before, with the added bonus of a big bump on his head..." » Yes.... with your stories I plunge back into my old (very old) TinTin
