Snapping a Cut with a Hole Center on CATIA

Hello

I have a small problem on my CATIA.

I can't get a cut to go through the center of a hole. I know that there is a possibility that when you go over the hole, it detects the center of it. In my case it doesn't work, I think there is a tab to uncheck but I can't find it...

If anyone can help me,

Have a nice day

Hello

Are you talking about a cut or section in a drawing?

Normally yes, it detects the center but you have to look for it with the pointer (swipe near the center until the concentricity symbol appears at the end of the pointer).

Another solution you point to the circle and right click Catia should offer you "Concentric

If it's not a broken cut, just click the circle and then move the pointer away Catia automatically anchors to the center and symmetrically.

Hello

I'm talking about the 2 cases.

I just tried it and I didn't know the option by clicking "Condense", thanks for the tip.

However, when I move my cursor near the center of the hole, it does not offer me the concentricity symbol at any time. And I think that in the case of a broken cut, it is much more practical that the center stitch appears...

Just to be on the view in which you create the cut is active (box in red).

Yes yes of course

Can you check if you have the option checked:

Yes, everything is ticked

When you move the pointer over the vertex of an edge, it's OK

No, I don't have it either

Normally it's the same as in the Sketcher. It's as if you had the Shift key activated (keyboard shortcut to temporarily disable the snapping).

Whether the Shift key is activated or not, the result is the same.

On the other hand, when I click not far from the circle, there he takes the center but without showing me the symbol

Hello

If you start by selecting the circle, first click, it automatically takes the center, this is the normal behavior.

On the other hand, not having an indication at the end of the pointer is not normal and there are no options to my knowledge to disable / activate this feature ?

It is found in the sketcher and also with the measuring tool, the symbolism changes if we have a plane u, a non-planar surface, a circle or a spline.

If you haven't customized the application too much, you can restore the settings or if you're under maintenance, call DS support

I called maintenance support eventually.

It turns out that it directly finds the center of the hole to be cut when you simply click on hole. I took a bit of a headache for nothing to look for in the parameters...

Thank you for your help
