Add custom properties in Windows Explorer

Hello

I wish I could add the custom properties in Windows Explorer.

Let me explain, I have pieces whose name is a reference that is not very explicit. I have added to these parts various properties (designation, draughtsman, date, manufacturer,...) from solidworks and which are therefore custom properties. These properties, when I'm in windows I can see them with a right click on the room-> properties.

What I would like to do is add them in the explorer in a new column of the type "Name", "Modified on", "Type",... and add here my "Designation" property.

Any ideas of how to do it?

it would be possible, via a macro, to copy my designation to another known Windows reference of the "title" type but I don't want to retype all my parts... In a pinch I could use a macro scanning all my SW files to do it but it's not the most practical. Maybe there is a simple solution?

Thank you

Hello

It's possible for the "description", to see if it also works for the designation, but I don't think so...

Thank you for the answer.

Indeed it is the same as writing in Titre.. and since I have nothing written neither in the title nor in the description it doesn't work...

So one solution would be to create a macro to update the title or description based on the designation...

Don't use PDM?

No, I don't use PDM.

The macro solution I wanted to avoid if there was a simpler one but if I have no other choice I would do it. I already have a macro that I can add to do this...

Well, finally I started running a macro that copies the name of the files in the description tab and I set up the windows folders as in your link.
