Lightweight Model on Solidworks

Hello

I imported an STL file on Solidworks in Surface / Volume

I would like to know if I can combine or merge all the functions in order to lighten the model and to see how to work with it.

Thank you

Hello

You can convert your graphic bodies by meshing them.
You click on a graphics body and by right-buttoning, you click on "Convert to body mesh"
You validate in the PropertyManager and you get bodies, so a manipulable part.
You can then right-click on the new function and segment the mesh for more detail.

Another solution: when you open your * file. STL, you have an option button in the "Open" window; You click on it and you set the stl files to volume import.
This gives you an imported model that can still be handled.

To import the STL files I already asked a question yesterday and I succeeded, here is the link

My objective is explained in the other post.

The graphic method does not allow me to create plans and sketches thanks to the intersection curve function (I converted the bodies and scaled them.. the whole model is very light and the pc does not find any problem)

The volume/area  method generates a model that is composed of more than 1300 surfaces and volumes

I have a good I7 7700- 3.6 Ghz pc, 16GB RAM and a GTX 1060 6GB.

I can't find a solution

Thank you
