Range of motion and frequency range

Hello

I have to simulate an electronic device embedded in a vehicle, the product is subjected to sinusoidal rectilinear vibrations applied in three trirectangular directions.

The equipment used for transport units must be capable of operating under the following conditions:

  • vibration frequency: 5 Hz to 8.6 Hz; travel range: 10 mm;
  • vibration frequency: 8.6 Hz to 150 Hz; acceleration: 3 g.

 I can't set the 10 mm displacement, how do I proceed please?

How to specify the frequency range in each of the two cases.

Thank you

I ran a modal analysis as a function of time with a 10 mm displacement parameterized in the excitation of the base. The calculation works but I don't really know how to interpret it in relation to the conditions. Should I conclude that if my eigenmodes are not between 5Hz and 8.6Hz then it's ok?

The same goes for the second case?

Hello

The eigenmodes are independent of the exitation. If the eigenmodes are outside the range studied, there are, a priori, no problems.

Your excitement should normally apply to the fixing points. If you fall into a clean mode, the accelerations will be amplified at the level of your components. You just have to check that they can handle it (or that the base plate won't break).
