Annotation retrieving the configuration name of a subset

I have an assembly that I plan. It contains subsets. I want to insert an annotation that will fetch the name of the configuration of this subset.

In the annotation pointing to the subset, I went to look for "Link to property", choosing the different options: "Model in the view to which the annotation is attached", "Model in the view specified in Sheet Properties" and "Component to which the annotation is attached", selecting "SW-Configuration Name... " and no way.

At the level of my subset, the description is the name of the configuration.

What am I missing?

I'm on SW13

Thank you:)

Hello Benoit!

I don't have too much time here, but I guess you've already tried to close and re-open your mep.

And that you have also tried reconstructions.

And in link to property, which box did you tick?

Edit: I hadn't read everything...^^

Hello you will find a tutorial on this site

Unless I'm mistaken, I think Benoit is working on Solidworks....

Sorry not to wake up this morning I didn't answer the right question (too many windows open)

Thank you@Franck :) But yes, I'm on SolidWorks!

@Bart: Closed the drawing and SW, no change.

That is what I understood when I saw the question before.

what about the things that happen;) On the other hand, my finger to slide on -1.. Dsl

Hello

Is it a complex assembly?

Are your sub-assemblies in light or not?

Hi Lucas,

No, they are not complex. About ten components each, both the whole and the sub-assembly.

Everything is in resolution.

Do you have a nomenclature created? (and not necessarily displayed)

If so, try to delete it and then reinsert your annotations after a CTRL+Q.

Yes, I have a bill of materials (which shows me the subset as a component, it is not detailed).

I deleted it, Ctrl+Q created the annotation, it doesn't change anything.

Here you are! I just saw something pretty good!!

So I have an annotation that is hung on one of the parts of my subset with the value: $PRPMODEL: "SW-Configuration Name" and it gives me "default".

If, on the other hand, I put a balloon that fetches the configuration name property (so with the same code $PRPMODEL: "SW-Configuration Name"), I have my configuration name! :/

On the same view?

Yes, rib-rib, on the same coin! :/

This is a known problem at SolidWorks, under the SPR

Why is it not possible for a link in a balloon to be attached to an assembly component, to a custom property for that part in an assembly?  Notes can be linked, why not balloons?

And the correction was made from SolidWorks 2014: "Updated:10/10/2014"

Conclusion: Buy Sw 2014, see 2015 =)

How many levels do you have?

-part / sub-assembly 1 / assembly

Are you looking to name the conf of subassembly 1?

When you bind the properties, you can have $PRPVIEW but that's for assembly. And $PRP-Model, but now he goes over the coin.

I don't know if there is a syntax to modify the $PRP-Model:"SW-(configuration name)" of subassembly

Well, thank you anyway!

@opiep, I tried all 3: $PRPMODEL, $PRPVIEW and $PRPSHEET without success!

So we're going to wait for SW2014... I'm going to wait a long time I think!

If you have to wait a long time, wait for the 2015 instead!
