Preview in preview pane

This box is unchecked, I checked/unchecked it doesn't change anything

it must be unchecked

See this example

@+ ;-)

It's unchecked, here's a screenshot of my folder options

This is what I have and it works

Do a check

@+ ;-)

I have exactly the same thing but... No preview in the preview pane

Take a look

Select small icons to the right of the red circle at the top right

and play with it like that you'll see the diffs

Here is what I have with the same boxes checked or unchecked and still nothing in the panel next to it where it is marked no preview is available

To view the part in the right pane, just click on the part in your list

there you go ;-)

Yes I know

It works well for all other files (PDF, JPEG....) but not for SW files

now I'm dry.......................... and don't understand why ;-(

I know that if the file is open or

that it is a file that has just been registered

sometimes you don't see an image

sorry ;-(

OK! Thank you, I'll dig a little

Slaut Philippe,

Can you try to de-register / re-register the following dll:

sldthumbnailprovider.dll

To do this, you must:

close SW

Open a Command Prompt as an Administrator

with, navigate to the folder: C:\Program Files\SOLIDWORKS Corp\SOLIDWORKS

Type command: regsvr32 -u sldthumbnailprovider.dll

Enter

Type the command

regsvr32 sldthumbnailprovider.dll

Enter

Attached is a video capture of the operation

A+

Mick, I tested your solution but here's what I get (see attached image

Did you run cmd correctly as an administrator?

Yes! I just did it as an admin! a priori it worked, in the visual pane of Windows Explorer I no longer have the message that there are no files to display, the area is empty but without preview of the SW files

Ok, so it's better, can you try to associate your files with the swshellfilelauncher application in the SolidWorks installation folder

Can you give me the procedure please

Attached is a video of the operation

OK! It works! Can we adjust the size of this preview? otherwise, no big deal, it's already a good thing like that

Thank you

I don't know if you can set the size, for me it depends on the size of the preview pane
