Hello

That's my problem,

I am looking to adapt a shower tray to the space available in my room.

Let me explain:

I have standard shower trays that can take 15 different refs. So I created a sub-assembly in which the tray is located as well as the frame and the baseboard. I created a family of rooms so that I could select the size of my bin.

I would now like to insert this sub-assembly in my final assembly, and make the selection of the tray automatic by modifying only the dimensions of my part (Length, width, height).

How can I do it?

Thanks in advance

By creating a family table (which will have only one member), by editing the excel sheet, you will be able to choose the appropriate configuration via classic formulas.

Thank you for your answer,

Nevertheless can you be more precise, what do you mean by 1 single member?

I'm starting with the families of parts, do you have an example?

The part family is a format that allows you to manage configurations via excel, either because there are a lot of configurations or, as you do, because you need to use formulas.
If you know the configurations, you almost know the family tables.

Hello!

Take a look at DriveWorks technology!

FYI, DriveWorksXpress is free.

I understood how the configurations and the part family work in a file part.

My problem is for my final assembly, I would like to create a family of parts in it and go get the configurations of the different file parts that form this assembly.

I can't do that...
