Hello, on Solidworks, is it possible in an assembly that contains several sub-assemblies to move one or more parts of a sub-assembly in order to animate all the parts of the assembly with degrees of freedom? Or do we have to assemble all the parts in order to set the system in motion?

Just go to the "component properties" of each assembly and subassembly and check "solve as flexible".
If there are a lot of people, it sometimes crashes, but it's very useful in most cases.

The fact of passing the subset in flexible mode allows to keep the degrees of freedom defined in the subset. However, beware of constraints such as "limit distance" or "limit angle" which are considered to "block" a degree of freedom and are therefore not solved in the higher-level assembly.
